Our goal is to make Christmas Gift Baskets for some of our neighborhood families that we are trying to help. The baskets will be filled with a spiral cut ham, cheeses, fancy crackers, summer sausage, a $50 Gift Card from Krogers and a Christmas card from our community.
Please feel free to donate $25 Gift Cards from Kroger’s and drop them off at Amvets Post 9 located at 1567 South Shelby Street in care of Danny Mac and we will divide them up in the gift baskets and buy more if we need to.
We will use all donation monies to fine tune our gift baskets and buy new clothes for families of different ages and sizes. Of course, a few toys for the kids. It all depends on how successful our fundraising for this project goes.

We just missed launching our new website and blog in time for Veterans’ Day. Regardless, here it is along with our hopes that you had a very happy Veterans’ Day. From what we saw, veterans were honored everywhere – from the NFL to local Louisville establishments that offered great specials for veterans.
Speaking of local specials, we hope to use this blog – in part – to let you know about more local deals for veterans. So please join the conversation and help us keep up with all the great offers.
We hope you find our new site and blog interesting, timely, and useful. We would also like to thank all of you who voted for us at Website for a Change for making all of this possible. Thank you for your support and thank you for joining us today and in the future. Let’s have fun and get things done!
